Code of conduct for PSA Elections 2008

For the purpose of effectiveness and meaningfulness of PSA election 2008 we are hereby drafting a code of conduct for all potential nominees.

Nominees for all seats must fulfill following requirements:

    • Registered in at least one course at BTH
    • Not involved in any sort of crime or violence. That especially includes plagiarism
    • A conflict-free personality.
    • Committed to give at least next six months to PSA.
    • Having no conflict with the ideology of Pakistan.
    • Having no conflict with any Pakistani’s cast, ethnicity, religion and gender.
    • Able to fulfill all demands necessary to become a member of PSA according to constitution of PSA.
    • Able to provide all required information that is name, Personal number (Tax number), program registered at BTH.

           Seats
          President (1 seat)
          Vice President (2 Seats)
          General Secretary (1 seat)
          Finance Secretary (1 seat)
          Liaison Officer (6 Seats)
          Events Coordinator (8 seat)

    *All seats will be equally divided to Karlskrona and Ronneby except President, General Secretary and Finace Sect.

    Before sending in your nomination for a seat, please read carefully the duties of seats:

           Duties of President

    • Shall be the official representative and chief spokesperson of the PSA.
    • Shall serve as chair of Executive Board. Shall call and preside over the organization, the Executive board and their meetings and be the final arbitrator of disputes between members of committees of responsible.
    • Shall appoint members of the PSA to special committee with the Executive Boards approval, and will have sole authority to appoint the chairpersons of such committees.
    • Shall be responsible for sending a representative to all BTH meetings.

           Duties of Vice President

    • Shall assist the President in all organizational matters.
    • Shall be responsible for the recommendation, coordination, staffing, and final written evaluation of all projects and social events set for the term, and assume any additional duties assigned by the President.
    • Shall assume the duties of the President in the event the President is absent or can no longer perform his/ her duties.
    • Shall assume all duties of the President if the office of President becomes vacant for the remainder of the academic year.

           Duties of General Secretary

    • Shall be responsible for all the documentation of PSA’s activities.
    • Take the minutes of meetings.
    • Arrangements for regular and special meetings.
    • Shall be responsible for the maintenance of all general records, including, but not limited to, copies of all responsible reports and responsible minutes of all General, Executive board, and Advisory board meetings.

           Duties of Finance Secretary

    • Shall be responsible, in conjunction with the Executive Board, for the preparation of the Annual Budget.
    • Shall approve, in conjunction with the Executive board, all expense requests before submitting them to the BTH.
    • Shall be responsible for handling all PSA funds and funds designated as organizational funds by the University.
    • Shall be responsible for informing members and collection of all dues/fees and the maintenance of all records thereof. Attend any treasurers’ workshops arranged by the university.

           Duties of Liaison Officer

    • Shall be responsible for type of communication on the Internet and other media.
    • Promotion of PSA activities
    • Reporting of PSA prominent activities in media.
    • Shall be responsible for the updation of website content and design.

           Duties of Events Coordinator

    • Shall be responsible for all kinds of social activities and event by PSA.
    • Look over all the events as a event manager.
    • Arrangement for the events including work force and other resources.
